About Me

I’ve always thrived in fast-paced, creative environments—maybe that’s why I loved working as a news producer so much. My heart lives in creating the vibe, but my brain craves strategy.

Stepping into design gave me the perfect blend of both: creativity, business, and purpose. With an M.Ed. in Instructional Design, I bring depth to every project—merging aesthetic with intention.

KH Design Studio isn’t just a career—it’s the flexible, fulfilling path I always dreamed of. One where I get to build beautiful things and be present for what matters most.

Education

I hold a Master’s in Educational Technology & Instructional Design—which means I don’t just make things pretty. I design websites that teach, guide, and convert.

My background in learning theory, digital content strategy, and UX gives every project a strategic backbone. The result? Your website feels like your dream client’s favorite place on the internet.

Experience

I’ve spent more than 10 years working in creative services—from film sets and marketing teams to leading production crews as a news producer. Along the way, I guided teams in building digital content and turning big ideas into intuitive experiences.

Now, I bring that same clarity and creative direction to every brand I design for—blending storytelling, strategy, and style into websites that truly work.

KH Design Studio was born from my years in fast-paced creative roles—first in the newsroom, where I learned to craft powerful stories on tight deadlines, connect with audiences instantly, and think strategically under pressure. That experience sharpened my ability to lead, communicate, and create with intention. Later, I transitioned into instructional design, where I continued to shape meaningful digital experiences—this time with more structure, more heart, and a growing love for visual storytelling. Eventually, I realized what lit me up most was designing with purpose—blending strategy, creativity, and storytelling into something truly impactful. That’s why my studio is built at the intersection of storytelling and strategy.

The Discovery Call

We’ll kick things off with a relaxed, no-pressure video call to chat about your business, goals, and design needs. It’s also a great chance to see if we’re the right fit. After the call, I’ll send over a custom proposal tailored to your project.

Proposal & Booking

Once you’re ready to move forward, you’ll receive an Onboarding Packet to help you gather content and prep for your session. Submit your materials, pay the retainer, and we’ll get your design week locked in!

Vision Board Prep

While you get organized, I’ll be building a custom Vision Board — full of brand colors, fonts, image inspiration, and layout ideas — all aligned with your style and audience. It sets the creative direction for your website.

Design Session

Your site is designed page-by-page with care and intention. I’ll keep you updated throughout the process, and you’ll be able to preview pages as they’re built. This is your time to watch your brand come to life!

Final Review

Once the design is complete, we’ll hop on a call to walk through the full site together. You’ll have a chance to share feedback, request tweaks, and ensure every detail feels just right.

Launch Day

After approval, I’ll finalize your build, connect your domain, and make your site live. Then it’s time to pop the champagne (or kombucha)! Your new site is officially out in the world.

Ongoing Support

You’ll receive how-to resources for managing your site confidently, and I’ll check in about two weeks later to make sure everything’s running smoothly. I’ve got your back — even after launch.
